PARIAH wins GLAAD Outstanding Film Award

On Saturday March 24 at the Mariott Marquis in New York City, PARIAH was honored at the 23rd Annual Glaad Media Awards. In a ceremony hosted two stars of "Glee," Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith, Dee Rees' PARIAH won for Outstanding Film - Limited Release. PARIAH stars Adepero Oduye and Kim Wayans were on hand to accept the award.

The NAACP Image Awards announced the nominees for the 43rd Image Awards, and PARIAH was recognized with a whooping seven nominations. Here they are: (1) Outstanding Motion Picture; (2) Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture (Adepero Oduye); (3) Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture (Charles Parnell); (4) Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture (Kim Wayans); (5) Outstanding Independent Motion Picture; (6) Outstanding Writing in a Motion Picture - Theatrical or Television (Dee Rees); Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture - Theatrical or Television (Dee Rees).
The 43rd Image Awards will be broadcast live on Feb 17 during a two-hour telecast on NBC.
